All ten casinos we compare list USDT (Tether) as a payment method. BK8, GOD55, 12Play and UWIN33 also show Bitcoin and Ethereum, and 1xBet lists more than 30 coins.
Crypto can move money quickly, but transfers can’t be reversed and a wrong network can lose your coins. Paying in crypto also doesn’t make online gambling legal in Malaysia. 21+ only.
Which casinos accept crypto
Most casinos show crypto only as a logo or a method name, so check the cashier before you send anything (checked 2 Nov 2026; We1Win 30 Oct 2026).
| Casino | Crypto listed | Crypto details the casino states |
|---|---|---|
| BK8 | USDT, Bitcoin, Ethereum | USDT on the ERC-20 network; deposits and withdrawals in up to 3 minutes (USDT) or 15 minutes (BTC, ETH); promotes a weekly crypto deposit bonus (turnover not recorded) |
| me88 | USDT | Promotes 1% extra cashback on crypto deposits (turnover not recorded) |
| We1Win | USDT | USDT deposits from RM100 to RM100,000 |
| 1xBet | More than 30 cryptocurrencies | Instant deposits, withdrawals in about 15 minutes, no fees on any method |
| 96M | USDT | USDT deposits take an estimated 2 to 10 minutes |
| GOD55 | Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum (footer logos) | Promotes a crypto deposit bonus (turnover not recorded) |
| Winbox | Tether (footer logo) | Nothing beyond the logo |
| UWIN33 | USDT, Bitcoin, Ethereum (footer logos) | Nothing beyond the logos |
| 12Play | Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Binance (footer logos) | Nothing beyond the logos |
| Maxim88 | USDT | Nothing beyond the method |
Only BK8 and 1xBet state how fast crypto withdrawals are paid. The others don’t say whether you can withdraw in crypto at all, so ask support before you deposit.
How a crypto deposit works
A crypto deposit is a transfer from your own wallet or exchange account to an address the casino gives you.
- Buy USDT, or another coin the casino accepts, on an exchange.
- In the casino’s cashier, choose crypto, pick the network and copy the deposit address.
- Send the coins on that same network, from your exchange or wallet.
- Wait for the casino to credit your account.
If your casino account is in ringgit, the casino converts your coins at its own rate. Compare that rate with the market rate before you send a large amount.
Crypto vs ringgit methods
Crypto and ringgit methods differ most in what happens when something goes wrong.
| Ringgit methods (TnG, DuitNow, online banking) | Crypto (USDT and others) | |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | Varies by casino and method | Depends on the network and the casino’s checks |
| Can a payment be stopped? | Rarely, but report a scam to 997 quickly and banks may freeze the funds | No, once it’s sent |
| Price risk | None | Coin prices and the USD/MYR rate |
| Example minimum | We1Win: RM30 by bank transfer | We1Win: RM100 in USDT |
| Your record | Bank or e-wallet statement | A transaction ID on the blockchain |
USDT networks: the mistake that loses coins
USDT runs on several blockchains, including Tron (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Sending on a different network from the casino’s address can lose the coins, even when the address looks valid. BK8’s FAQ, for example, says it takes USDT on the ERC-20 (Ethereum) network.
- Match the network exactly. Coins sent on the wrong network may never arrive, and the casino may not be able to recover them.
- Check the fee. Network fees differ, and Ethereum transfers usually cost more than Tron transfers.
- Paste, don’t type. Copy the address and check its first and last few characters before you send.
- Send a small test first to any new address.
The risks of paying a casino in crypto
Crypto removes some of the protection a bank payment has, and adds risks of its own.
- No reversal. A crypto transfer can’t be undone. If the casino refuses to pay, there’s no bank to dispute it with, and no Malaysian regulator to complain to.
- Price moves. Bitcoin and Ethereum prices can move sharply in a day. USDT tracks the US dollar, so its ringgit value still moves with the exchange rate.
- Address swaps. Use only the deposit address in the casino’s own cashier. A “support agent” who sends you a different address in a chat is a warning sign.
P2P trades and mule accounts
Buying USDT from strangers on peer-to-peer (P2P) markets means sending ringgit to, or receiving it from, accounts you know nothing about. If that money came from a scam, your own account can be drawn into a mule account case.
Police had detected 39,006 mule account cases by July 2025. Offenders can be charged under Penal Code sections 424A to 424C, with up to 10 years’ jail and fines of up to RM150,000.
Registered and unregistered exchanges
The Securities Commission (SC) regulates crypto exchanges in Malaysia, and unregistered ones must stop operating. Its register listed five exchanges as of 20 July 2026: HATA Digital, Luno Malaysia, MX Global, SINEGY DAX and Kinetic DAX.
The SC has taken action against unregistered exchanges. From 14 April 2026, it also worked with Google to restrict their promotion to Malaysians on social media.
Crypto doesn’t change the law
Paying in crypto doesn’t make online gambling legal. Bank Negara Malaysia has said digital assets are not legal tender in Malaysia, and the gambling offences that apply to players don’t depend on how they pay.
Malaysia licenses no online casinos, and players have been fined for gambling online. Read our guide, is online gambling legal in Malaysia?
Tips if you use crypto
- Use the casino’s own cashier for the deposit address and network, every time.
- Start small the first time you use a new casino or address.
- Keep records of transaction IDs, amounts and dates.
- Never let anyone use your bank account to buy or sell crypto for them.
- Remember the house edge. Paying in crypto doesn’t change the odds of any game.
Casino games have a built-in house edge, so over time you should expect to lose more than you win. Compare every payment method on our payments guide.
